Not only is Paris the city of romance, but I know that we all LOVE a super spicy sports-themed romance book. Even if you can’t make it to Paris to watch all the Olympic events, we can all still celebrate by reading some red-hot romance novels inspired by our favorite Summer Olympics events and athletes. In case you’re new to the Summer Olympics (or you’re just more of a Winter Olympics girlie), the Summer Olympics typically consist of sports like archery, gymnastics, baseball, volleyball, cricket, diving, equestrian sports, fencing, golf, karate, swimming, surfing, tennis, and more! (Seriously, so many more sports in the Summer Olympics, even sports that I had no idea were part of the Olympics!)
And I know that the Parisian setting of this year’s Olympics is bound to get everyone’s engines revving with romance. From the iconic Eiffel Tower, the charming historical buildings, and dreamy Parisian cafes, the stage is set for some summer romance with heart-pounding, swoon-worthy stories.
So let’s jump into some books where one or both of the main characters play a sport that’s featured in the Summer Olympics, either at an amateur or professional level. Okay, so we’re not covering all the summer sports in the Olympics, but this list covers some of the more popular sports that pop up in sports romance novels. From gymnastics to track and field to archery (actually, I couldn’t find any archery books…maybe some romance authors out there want to write a hot archery book?!), and more, I know you’re going to find your newest favorite sports romance here!
